PURPOSE OF THE FUNCTION
This function is part of the Mutualised Services Unit (USM) based in Costa Rica. It is a full-time job, under a permanent contract and may require occasional travels to programmes/projects’ areas of intervention locally and abroad.
The procurement assistant would carry out and actively participate in the procurement processes and other tasks assigned by the Procurement &Operational and Partnership Agreements Officer in charge, including collect and keep track of relevant data, assess progress and results, and draw lessons for continuous improvement.
DUTIES AND MAIN TASKS

Carry on end-to-end procurement processes assigned, contact with partners and vendors to comply objectives.

Support Operational and Partnership Agreements, supporting the Officer in reviewing any of the terms needed to reduce risks, and track the processes.

Administrative management and process support for the tenders and operational and partnership agreements.

Registration, expediting and monitoring the operational formalisation that ensures all the logistical flow of the agreements.

Stakeholders (vendors, partners) registry management.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

bachelor´s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Industrial Engineering, or a related field;

at least 3 years of proven experience in procurement (goods, services, works);

excellent teamwork and collaboration skills;

proficiency in Microsoft common office software;

english language at least B2

knowledge of development cooperation modalities and sensitivity to development aid;

familiarity with procurement and partnership systems and tools applied to project management in development or humanitarian sectors;

experience in the target region (Central America) is a strong asset;
